Her name is Nurhaida Sitompul (Ida), born in October 24, 1950 in Padang Sidempuan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Pastor Ida grew up in Medan, North Sumatra and moved to Jakarta (capital city of Indonesia) in 1971. She married a man named Jahara Simanungkalit and was blessed with a son (Ricko Parulian Simanungkalit) and two daughters (Novita Italiana Simanungkalit and Laura Nova Simanungkalit).

In Indonesia, she served as a housewife and worked in a personal business. She also assisted her husband who was working in Garuda Indonesia Airlines. Pastor Ida received God in November 1978 for she was healed miraculously by God from her paralysis she had been suffering for about 2 weeks after she delivered her third child (Laura Nova Simanungkalit). Since then, she was growing in God and always seeking God.

She prayed for her husband to know God. After prayers and fast, Pastor Ida and her husband became God’s ministers. Even though they did not serve a full time ministry, they gave up all their lives and materials to God. They served as the head pastor of “Gereja Kristen Maranatha Indonesia” (Maranatha Christian Church of Indonesia) in Jakarta from 1989-1998.

In 1998, they had to make a big decision. They were called by God to minister full time in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada with help from Pastor Moddy Ratu, head pastor of Indonesian Pentecostal Revival Fellowship Church in Los Angeles, California. Even though it was uneasy for them to leave their beloved ministry and families, they knew that God’s calling was firm in their hearts. God reconfirmed them through His scriptures and they were able to leave with joy and sold their belongings for the ministry in Las Vegas, the land God chose for them.

However, on March 19, 2000, Pastor Jahara Simanungkalit (husband) who was loved by his congregation and his family passed away in the age of 55 and was buried in Jakarta, Indonesia. Since her husband death, the Las Vegas IPRF church has been in full leadership of Pastor Ida. She continued this ministry to fulfill God’s calling and plan in her life. Her desire is for Las Vegas to be covered in God’s majesty and souls to be won.

OUR  HISTORY

In December 22, 1990, Pastor Moody Ratu and his wife moved to Los Angeles, California - United States of America. They lived with a Philippino family that neighbored three Indonesian elders. It turned out that these three elderly grandmothers had a long desire to establish a fellowship in their house.

Pastor Moody Ratu started to minister them every day at five in the morning. After several weeks, in February 1991, the fellowship was changed into a formal Sunday service every Sunday at 10:00 am. Indonesian people were coming increasingly and the house reached to the point where it could not accommodate more people. In May 1991, they moved into a church building and named the fellowship “Indonesian Friends Fellowship El Shaddai.”

About one year later, they decided to establish a new ministry at Pomona, California which exists until now. The grand opening sermon on October 6, 1992 was brought by Pastor Dr. L. Lapian from Manado, Indonesia. Because of the apparent need for care in the new growing church, in 1992, Pastor Moody Ratu and wife concentrated on a full ministry in Pomona and the congregation in IFF El Shaddai was trusted to the established board members.

Finally, the new church in Pomona was named “Indonesia Pentecostal Revival Fellowship” Vineyard (IPRF-Vineyard), which was then admitted by M.P. GPDI in May 1993. In June 1993, IPRF spread its wings to San Francisco, California; in April 1994 to Denver, Colorado; in 1997 to Las Vegas, Nevada becoming the only Indonesian church in the city; in 2000 to North Carolina and Boston; and the latest one in 2002 to Colorado Spring and Wyoming.
